About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Originator to join our Revenue Team to independently lead revenue contract negotiations end-to-end for solar PV as well as standalone and co-located BESS projects. The value of the role is to drive revenue contract structuring and negotiations effectively across markets, requiring a good understanding of recently executed contract structures (PPAs, tolling agreements, floors, hybrid PPAs) as well as the ability to structure and originate new innovative routes to market.
The Revenue Team is responsible for structuring, origination and negotiation of revenue contracts across mainly solar PV and BESS projects in GB, Germany, Italy, Romania and Belgium with over 500 MW of projects in construction and another cca 800 MW to start construction in the next 12 months.
The successful candidate will join an ambitious and collaborative team of experienced, passionate professionals with an extensive track record of closing complex revenue contracts, including hybrid and standalone PPAs, flexible purchase agreements (partial tolls, merchant optimisation) as well as complementary capacity agreements and CFDs. The role will report to Head of Revenue and be part of the Revenue and Asset Management team led by the experienced Chief Commercial Officer.
Location
This role will ideally be based either in our London or Berlin office with other offices as potential alternatives. Compensation will depend on experience and location.
Responsibilities
· Independently lead origination and structuring of revenue contracts, including PPAs and FPAs.
· Maintain and build a network of relevant counterparts including corporate and industrial consumers, advisors as well as traders and utilities.
· Structure value accretive revenue hedging products for solar PV and BESS projects
· Collaborate with the structured finance team for contract structure optimisation and the asset management team for stakeholder and revenue management
· Developing and maintaining a broad network of industry contacts amongst developers, advisers, investors, bankers and consultants to stay up-to-speed and keep Aukera poised to readily capitalise on new opportunities
Experience and Qualifications
· Several years of experience in deal origination (onshore wind, solar PV and battery storage, with experience with battery storage seen as a strong positive)
· Experienced negotiator with strong communication skills and understanding of debt financing requirements and interaction of RTM contracts with EPC and operational agreements
· Strong understanding of prevalent revenue contract structures for solar PV and BESS
· Good understanding of European power price drivers and ancillary service markets
· A high level of numeracy, curiosity and problem-solving attitude
· Fluency in English as working language
· Ideally, proficiency in at least one other European language
· Experience/exposure of trading in electricity markets would be seen as a differentiator
