The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented AP accountant to manage all AP tasks for United Kingdom and also for other subsidiaries in the group, as needed. You will be an important part of the Aukera finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone to build on their accounts payable experience by taking on increased responsibility and widening their scope internationally. There will be plenty of opportunity to develop your skills as the company grows.
This role will be based in the Bucharest office at least 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Checking and verifying invoices have been issued correctly as per contracts/ POs, managing identified errors with suppliers or project managers;
- Ensuring that all back-up documentation is received in order to support the deductibility of the costs/VAT;
- Verifying expense reports and querying invoice items from local and international business travel;
- Entering invoices and expense reports into the ERP system (NetSuite) for United Kingdom and for other group companies, as needed;
- Assuring all invoices approvals are obtained correctly as per matrix approval before proceeding with payments;
- Payments processing in a timely manner;
- Filing and maintaining supplier records, balance reconciliation;
- Working closely with the local development team and the rest of the Finance team to complete all tasks correctly and in time for monthly closing;
- Assist in preparation of monthly VAT returns and annual inventory;
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in an international environment;
- Good knowledge of Romanian accounting GAAP and/or IFRS;
- Strong verbal and written skills in English; German and/or Italian would be considered an advantage;
- Flexibility and ability to work professionally and accurately under pressure and challenging deadlines as well as to prioritize your tasks;
- Experience using/ implemented NetSuite (ERP) would be an advantage;
