Job Description

The Role
We are seeking a motivated Working Student to join our Bucharest team, focusing on GIS and AutoCAD support for renewable energy projects. This role is ideal for final-year or Master’s students in Geography who want to gain practical experience in spatial data processing, mapping, and technical drawings in the renewable energy sector.

Main responsibilities

• Use QGIS to process and analyze spatial data, including vectorization and georeferencing

• Perform spatial operations such as buffer, dissolve, clip, intersection, and union

• Calculate areas, lengths, and centroids, and verify topology to identify invalid, duplicate, or overlapping geometries

• Import data from PDF, CSV, Excel, and DXF formats into QGIS

• Clean and manage attribute data (e.g. trim text, convert to uppercase, extract text using simple regex)

• Create joins between tables and generate new fields using the Field Calculator

• Prepare print layouts (scale, grid, north arrow, legend) and export maps in PNG and PDF formats

• Work in AutoCAD with layers (naming, colour, linetype) and use core commands such as line, polyline, offset, trim, extend, and fillet

• Import coordinates from CSV and generate simple polylines

• Create viewports, set scales, insert title blocks, and organise layers for plotting
